Our one-day face to face Advanced life support (ALS) course is co-ordinated by the highly qualified and experienced facilitators of the Healthcare Training Service at the Affinity Head office in Brisbane, Australia.
This course follows the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines and aligns with international standards (ILCOR). Through interactive workstations, you’ll use equipment, practice procedures, and manage arrest scenarios to bridge theory with clinical practice.

In compliance with ANZCOR Guidelines, this ALS courses will cover the above following topics: - Advanced airway management (competency assessment item) - Recognising and managing life-threatening arrhythmias - Defibrillation (competency assessment item) - Megacode management – practice of arrest scenarios - Assessment of megacode management - Pre-reading material will be forwarded prior to this course - Common causes of cardiac arrest - Assessment of the compromised person - Review basic life support - Emergency Drugs - Transcutaneous (external) pacing - Cardiac arrest algorithms - Theoretical examination
