Course Information

As per ANZCOR Guideline, Paediatric Advanced Life Support Training is designed to support health professionals respond to clinical deterioration or cardiorespiratory arrest in infants and children in the healthcare setting and acts as an adjunct to the Advanced Life Support (ALS) Guideline.

Course Content

In compliance with ANZCOR Guidelines, this PALS courses will cover the above following topics:
- Face masks, self-inflating bag-valve-masks
- Adjunctive airway equipment (oropharyngeal airway etc.)
- Endotracheal ventilation
- Peripheral vascular access, intraosseous resuscitation
- Fluid therapy, adrenaline, Ca+, glucose, lignocaine, Mg+, K+, NaHCO3
- Manual and automatic defibrillation and cardioversion
- Oximetry, end-tidal CO2, ECG, IA BP, POCUS, NIRS
