Neuraxial Blockade - Epidural Anaesthesia
Neuraxial Blockade - Epidural Anaesthesia
CPD hours: 1.0
Epidural analgesia, also referred to as neuraxial analgesia, generally appears to be an effective way of reducing pain during labour; it involves the administration of drugs into the epidural space which generally cause loss of sensation.
This module will allow midwives to explore the theory to assist with this clinical skill, recognise complications if they arise and respond appropriately.
