Course Information

This online education is delivered in 2 parts:
• Step 1: Online learning
• Step 2: Online knowledge quiz (100% pass required for certification)

Once you have completed your online learning and quiz, please download your certificate and if required by your site complete either:
• A practical skills assessment in your work environment (via your agency or permanent position), and/or
• Attend Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation in-person training session

• Understand the physiology of fetal transition to life
• Recognize the midwife’s role in preparing for birth
• Understand the ANZCOR flowchart
• Identify the initial steps for neonatal resuscitation
• Apply effective ventilation measures
• Apply effective chest compressions
• Understand medication management
• Utilize neonatal resuscitation equipment
• Provide respectful ethical resuscitative care
• Support optimal post resuscitation care
• Access further practical in-person training
