Maternal Collapse and Sepsis

Maternal Sepsis and Maternal Collapse are rare emergency events occurring in pregnancy/during birth or in the first 6 weeks postnatally. These emergency events have varied aetiology and pathophysiology, making urgent recognition and emergency treatment essential to support prevention of maternal morbidity and mortality, and consequently fetal/neonatal morbidity and mortality.

This education is designed to support midwives’ and nurses' skill-set in both tertiary and rural and remote settings.

Renewal: 2-5 years (depending on work site policy)
