Breech presentation at birth is often regarded as an emergency. Currently, caesarean section is likely recommended where breech presentation is identified. Yet physiological breech birth is a viable, safe option for most women with uncomplicated pregnancies.
Midwives’ understanding of physiological breech birth will support women’s informed decision-making and maintain skills for undiagnosed breech birth appropriately. These skills can be applied in both tertiary and rural and remote settings.
Expected completion time: 1.5 hours (including quiz)
