Affinity’s Advanced Life Support (ALS) Course has been developed to provide clinicians with the necessary knowledge and skills to competently provide both Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) to patients in the event of a life-threatening emergency.
The course reflects the current guidelines and publications of:
- The Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) who follow the recommendations of The International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR).
- The Australian College of Critical Care Nurses (ACCCN).
- Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care (ACSQHC) - Standard 9: Recognising and responding to clinical deterioration in acute health care.
