Mandatory reporting is a legislative requirement for certain groups, including healthcare workers who have a responsibility to report actual and suspected behaviours and actions they observe in the workplace, including abuse, neglect, exploitation, or conduct by a registered health practitioner that may put patients at risk.
This module aims to increase your understanding of your mandatory requirements and obligations as an Australian healthcare worker.
This course is considered mandatory training for all nursing related roles in all states and territories.

Learners will cover the following content: - Understand the legislative framework of mandatory reporting. - Be aware of mandatory notifications of health practitioners. - Be able to identify forms and signs of abuse and neglect in children and the elderly. - Understand the compulsory reporting requirements in healthcare and when they should be made. - Understand the process and procedures followed when a report has been lodged.
